Question

Find the product, using suitable properties:

8 × 53 × (−125)

Solution

8 ×53 × (−125) = 8 × [53 × (−125)]

= 8 × [(−125) × 53] (b × a = a × b)

= [8 × (−125)] ×53 a × (b × c) = (× b) × c

= [−1000] × 53 = −53000
