Question

Find the equation of the line whose:
slope = - 4 and y-intercept = 2

Sum

Solution

Given
Slope is - 4, therefore m = - 4
Y-intercept is 2, therefore c = 2
Therefore,
y = mx + c
y = - 4x + 2
Therefore the equation of the required line is y = - 4x + 2
