Find the number of moles in 10 g of CaCO3.

Solution

Molecular mass of CaCO= 40 + 12 + (16 × 3)

= 100 g

100 g of CaCO3 = 1 mole

∴ 10 g of CaCO= `1/100 xx 10`

= 0.1 mole
