Question
Find the perimeter of a rectangle whose area = 2600 m² and breadth = 50 m.
Solution
∵ Area of rectangle = 2600 m2
and breadth = 50 m
⋅ its length = `"Area"/"Breadth"`
`= (2600 "cm"^2)/(50 "cm") = 52 "cm"`
⇒ Perimeter of the rectangle
= 2 × (length + breadth)
= 2 × (52 cm + 50 cm)
= 2 × 102 = 204 cm
