Solution
(2x + 3)(2x – 4) = (2x)(2x – 4) + 3(2x – 4)
= (2x × 2x) – 4(2x) – 3(2x) – 3(4)
= 4x2 – 8x + 6x – 12
= 4x2 + (– 8 + 6)x – 12
= 4x2 – 2x – 12
