Question
Find the resulting quantity when there is a 2.5% increase in the salary of ₹ 62,500.
Solution
Rise in salary = 2.5%
Total salary = ₹ 62,500
∴ Total rise = 2.5% of 62500
= `62500xx25/(10xx100)=3125/2` ₹ 1562.50
Resulting quantity (salary) = ₹ 62500 + ₹ 1562.50 = ₹ 64062.50
