Find the tax paid by the manufacturer. If the rate of sales tax be 10%.
Solution
Let the M.P. of the manufacturer be ₹100
S.P. of manufacturer = ₹ 100 + 10% of ₹ 100
= 100 + 10
= 110
∴ Tax paid by manufacturer = ₹ 10.
