Solution
Cross multiplying, we get
∴ (m + 9) × 3 = 5 × (3m + 15)
m × 3 + 9 × 3 = 5 × 3m + 5 × 15
Transposing 3m and 75, we get
27 – 75 = 15m – 3m
– 48 = 12m
`(12"m")/12 = (-48)/12`
⇒ m = – 4
