Question

Give a geographical reason:

Trees in equatorial forests grow tall.

Give Reasons

Solution

  1. The summer temperature of the Equatorial region is around 30 °C.
  2. The mean manual rainfall in the Equatorial region is around 2500 mm to 3000 mm. It rains throughout the year in this region. Sunrays are mostly perpendicular in the Equatorial region. Heavy rainfall, as well as a hot and humid climate, support the growth of a variety of trees in the Equatorial region. Trees also grow with rapid speed to get maximum sunlight in this region. Thus, trees in equatorial forests grow tall.
