Lett my saving = 1, Part spent = `3/5` of savings
∴ Part left = `1 - 3/5 = (5 - 3)/5 = 2/5` of savings
But he left = Rs. 2000
∴ `2/5` of savings = Rs. 2000
∴ Total savings = Rs. `2000 xx 5/2`
= Rs. 5000
