Question
If the length of a diagonal of a cube is `8 sqrt(3)` cm, then its surface area is
Options
512 cm2
384 cm2
192 cm2
768 cm2
Solution
Let,
a→ Side of the cube
Length of the diagonal = 8`sqrt(3) ` cm
`sqrt(3a) = 8 sqrt(3)`
a = 8 cm
We have to find the surface area of the cube
Surface area of the cube,
`=6a^2`
`=6xx8^2`
`=384 cm^2`
Thus, surface area of the cube is 384 cm2 .
