Question
If the angles of a triangle are in the ratio 2 : 3 : 4, find the angles.
Solution
Sum of angles of a triangle = 180°
Ratio among angles = 2 : 3 : 4
Sum of ratios = 2 + 3 + 4 = 9
First angle = `180° xx (2)/(9)` = 40°
Second angle = `180° xx (3)/(9)` = 60°
Third angle = `180° xx (4)/(9)` = 80°
∴ Angles are 40°, 60° and 80°.
