Question
The sides of a triangle are in the ratio 7 : 5 : 3 and its perimeter is 30 cm. Find the lengths of sides.
Solution
Perimeter of a triangle = 30 cm.
Ratio among sides = 7 : 5 : 3
Sum of ratios 7 + 5 + 3 = 15
Length of the first side = `30 xx (7)/(15)` = 14cm
Length of the second side = `30 xx (5)/(15)` = 10cm
Length of the third side = `30 xx (3)/(15)` = 6cm
∴ Sides are 14cm, 10cm, 6cm.
