∴ The thickness of a pile of 1 cardboard sheet = `45/12 mm`
So, the thickness of a pile of 240 cardboard sheets = `45/12 xx 240 mm`
= 45 × 20
= 900 mm
= `900/10 cm` ...`[∵ 1 mm = 1/10 cm]`
= 90 cm
