Question

If x = a2 – bc, y = b2 – ca, and z = c2 – ab; find the value of ax + by + cz

Sum

Solution

x = a2 − bc, y = b2 − ca, z = c2 − ab

ax +by + cz = a (a2 − bc) + b (b2 − ca) + c (c2 − ab)

= a3− abc + b3 − abc + c3 − abc

= a3 + b3 + c3 − 3abc
