Imagine that you are a student living in Nazi Germany in the 1930 and have a pen friend in Italy. While exchanging letters with him/her, you realised that he/she is living in a similar situation as in your country. Write a reply to him/her stating the similarities in conditions in which you both are living.

Dear Pratibha, After reading your letter, I couldn’t help but notice the similarities between our countries. Just like Italy, we are facing an economic crisis with increasing unemployment and a drop in agricultural production and trade. The effects of the Treaty of Versailles have also left people here frustrated. There is a growing fear of communism spreading, and many are concerned our country might end up following Russia's path. What worries me the most is the growing dislike for democracy and the rising preference for a totalitarian system and one-party rule. Political instability is making the situation worse. I hope things improve soon in both of our countries. Do write back and update me on the situation on your side. Yours faithfully, Pranjal
