In the circuit shown in figure, when the key is closed, the compass needle placed in the match box deflects. Name the force which cases this deflection.
Solution
On closing the switch, the current starts flowing in the wire and due to this current, a magnetic field established around the wire which exerts magnetic force on the needle and it gets deflected.
