In the given figure, PQ || ST. Then, the value of x + y is 135°.
Explanation:
Since, PQ || ST and SO is a transversal.
∴ x = 85° ......[Altemate interior angles]
Now, PO is a straight line.
∴ ∠PQR + ∠RQO = 180° ......[Linear pair]
⇒ 130° + y = 180°
⇒ y = 180° – 30° = 50°
∴ x + y = 85° + 50° = 135°
