Question
Insert 3 equivalent rational numbers between `(-1)/2` and `1/5`
Solution
Given, rational numbers are `-1/2` and `1/5`
For common denominator, LCM of 2 and 5 = 10
∴ `(-1 xx 5)/(2 xx 5) = (-5)/10` and `(1 xx 2)/(5 xx 2) = 2/10`
Hence, three equivalent rational numbers between `(-5)/10` and `2/10` are `(-3)/10, (-6)/20, (-9)/30`.
