Explanation:

Her savings = Rs. 36000
∴ Her expenditure = Annual income – Savings
= Rs. 288000 – Rs. 36000
= Rs. 252000
∴ The required ratio = `"Saving"/"Expenditure"`
= `(Rs. 36000)/(Rs. 252000) = 1/7` = 1:7
