Solution

Nehru thought India would play a major part in world events, especially those happening in Asia. Talks were made between India and other newly independent countries in Asia and Africa during his time in power. During the 1940s and 1950s, Nehru worked hard to bring Asian countries together. Under his direction, India held the Asian Relations Conference in March 1947, five months before it became independent. He also worked hard to free Indonesia from Dutch colonial rule as soon as possible by holding an international conference in 1949 to support its freedom struggle.
