There are some vertical and horizontal lines on the globe. Which of these lines are more in number?

Compared to vertical lines (longitude meridians), horizontal lines (latitude parallels) are more numerous. This is due to the fact that longitudes converge at the poles, whereas latitudes are distributed equally around the world.
