Introduction -
Good Morning to all teachers, students, players and friends, today we are going to celebrate Sports Day. Every year the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand is celebrated as Sports Day. As the sports secretary today, it gives me great pleasure to announce Shri Kamal, the renowned international athlete from our country, as our chief guest. He is an excellent athlete himself. Let us welcome him with resounding applause.
Lighting the lamp -
I request our principal Dr. Mukharji Sir to light the lamp along with the chief guest Mr. Kamal.
Welcome Speech -
I now want our dear Principal to make his welcome remarks. That was truly an enlightening speech. On this auspicious occasion, I request our college music team to sing the welcome song.
Chief Guest's address:
Mr. Kamal: Respected Principal, teachers, and dear students I wish you a very good morning. Today August 29 is the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyanchand. I request all of you to participate at least in one game. Participation in sports is also a great success. Sports teach us skills like discipline, hard work, patience, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship etc. Learning these skills are very useful in our day-to-day life. Without sports it is very difficult to remain physically and mentally fit. Play games and be healthy.
Thank you very much Sir. We will not forget your message. I request Mr. Ram to express vote of thanks.
