Solution
Total amount = Rs. 720 Ratio between x, y = 4 : 5
Sum of ratios = 4 + 5 = 9
x’s share = `4/9` of Rs. 720 = Rs. 320
y’s share = `5/9` of Rs. 720 = Rs. 400
