Question

Solve problem:

In two moles of acetaldehyde (CH3CHO) calculate the number of molecules of acetaldehyde

Sum

Solution

Molecular formula of acetaldehyde: C2H4O

Moles of acetaldehyde = 2 mol

Number of molecules of acetaldehyde = Moles of acetaldehyde × Avogadro number
= 2 mol × 6.022 × 1023 molecules/mol
= 12.044 × 1023 molecules of acetaldehyde

Number of molecules of acetaldehyde = 12.044 × 1023
