Question
Solve the following equation: `3 2/5 - "y" = 2 1/2`
Solution
`3 2/5 - "y" = 2 1/2`
⇒ `3 2/5 - "y" - 3 2/5 = 2 1/2 - 3 2/5` ..(subtracting `3 2/5` from both sides)
⇒ - y = `5/2 - 17/5`
⇒ `(25 - 34)/10 = (- 9)/10`
⇒ y = `9/10`
