Question

Tell why -

Free and compulsory education has been made available to children in the age group 6 to 14.

Give Reasons

Solution

  1. As per our Constitution, all children between 6 and 14 years of age are entitled to get education as a Fundamental Right.
  2. However, some of them have to work to help their parents earn a living for the family.
  3. In spite of these adverse conditions, as per the Right to Education Act, receiving an education is extremely necessary for these children.

Hence, free and compulsory education has been made available to children in the age group 6 to 14.
