Question
The input and output voltages of a transformer are 220 V and 44V respectively. Find the current in input circuit if the output current is 2 A.
Solution
Output current Is = 2A, Es =44V.
Input current Ip = ?, Ep =220 V.
We know that =Es Is = EpIp
Ip = `(44 xx 2 "A")/220`
= 0.4 A
