  1. The Security Council is the executive body of the UNO and consists of total 15 members.
  2. It consists of 5 permanent members viz; U.S.A., Russia, England, France and China and 10 non-permanent members.
  3. The non-permanent members of Security Council are elected by the General Assembly for two years. Besides, the permanent memebrs have the right to Veto. By the application of this right, any permanent member may reject any decision of the Security Council.
