Question
There are six cards in a box, each bearing a number from 0 to 5. Find the probability of the following event, that a card drawn show, a natural number.
Solution
Total number of cards = 6
Number of cards bearing a natural number = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
= 5
Therefore, required probability =` \text { Number of cards bearing a natural number}/\text { Total number of cards}`
`=5/6`
Hence, the probability that a card drawn shows a natural number is `=5/6`.
