Question
Think and answer in your own words.
What could have inspired the poet to compose this poem? Do you think it relates to our present-day life? Defend your choice.
Solution
The poet must have observed the hectic lifestyles of others around him, who are never at a leisure to appreciate the beauty of their surroundings. Indeed, it is relevant to our current lives, which are becoming increasingly hectic. Our lives are becoming more and more artificial and disconnected from nature these days thanks to the Internet, smartphones, computers, and social networking sites.
