The government of Maharashtra has 288 elected members in the legislative assembly. Some of the ministers and their respective departments are given below:

• EKNATH SHINDE: He is the Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra. He heads General Administration, Urban Development, Information and Technology, Information and Public Relations, Public Works (Public Undertakings), Transport, Marketing, Social Justice and Special Assistance, Relief and Rehabilitation, Disaster Management, Soil and Water Conservation, Environment and Climate Change, Minorities and Aukaf, and other portfolios not allotted to any other Minister.
• DEVENDRA FADNAVIS: He is the Deputy Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra. He heads the Home, Finance and Planning, Law and Judiciary, Water Resources and Command Area Development, Housing, Energy, and Protocol.
• CHANDRAKANT PATIL: Higher and Technical Education, Textile Industry, and Parliamentary Affairs.
• GIRISH MAHAJAN: The Rural Development and Panchyati Raj, Medical Education, Sports and Youth Welfare.
• GULABRAO PATIL: The water supply and sanitation department, which is concerned with providing clean and safe drinking water and health facilities.
• SANDIPAN BHUMRE: The employment guarantee scheme (EDS) department and tourism department. EDS department deals with employment generation and implementation of MGNREGA scheme in the state.
• RADHAKRISHNA VIKHE PATIL: Department of animal husbandry, dairy development, and fisheries development, which is responsible for dealing with matters such as livestock production and dairy development.
• DEEPAK KESARKAR: Department of school level, higher and technical education, providing quality education and building up new educational institutions, Marathi Bhasha promotion of regional languages, minorities.
