1. Ambidentate ligands are those ligands that can attach themselves to the other central metal atoms through two different atoms. 
2. For example, the \[\ce{NO2}\] group can attach itself through nitrogen and oxygen. 
3. The \[\ce{SCN}\] also attaches itself through \[\ce{N}\] and \[\ce{S}\] atoms.
