Question
What happens during a bee sting? What is its remedy?
Solution
When a bee stings a person, it injects an acidic solution into the person’s skin. This causes severe pain and irritation. The remedy is to apply a baking soda solution (sodium hydrogen carbonate solution, which is a base). The solution soothes the pain by neutralising the acid.
