Question

What is meant by magnetic induction?

Short Note

Solution

The magnetic induction (total magnetic field) inside the specimen B is equal to the sum of the magnetic field B0 produced in vacuum due to the magnetising field and the magnetic field Bm due to the induced magnetisation of the substance.

B=B0+Bm=μ0H+μ0I=μ0(H+I)=(H+I)
