Question

What is meant by double displacement reaction? Explain with help of one example.

Solution

Double displacement reaction is a chemical reaction in which both the reactants exchange their ions to form two new compounds.

Example:
Na2SO+ BaCl2 → BaSO4 + 2NaCl
