  Pectoral girdle Pelvic girdle
1. It is located on the posterolateral side of the top part of the thorax. It is positioned in the bottom portion of the trunk.
2. It consists of two different bones: the scapula and the clavicle. It comprises two identical bones, the innominate.
3. The scapula and clavicle are not separated into any other form of bone. Each innominate bone has three bones: ilium, ischium, and pubis.
4. It offers articulation for the arm bones. It articulates the leg bones.
5. It has a shallow concavity at its lateral angle, and the glenoid cavity is used to articulate the head of the humerus. It has a deep, cup-shaped hollow acetabulum in the centre of its lateral surface.
