Applied History and Research in Various Fields
- History is about past events. The sequence of historical occurrences has shaped our current way of existence.
- Historical events have an impact on a variety of disciplines, including politics, a community's social and religious structure, philosophy, technology, and science, among others. Each of these disciplines has a unique history of knowledge development.
- Every field's future development will take a different path depending on the level of information that is currently available.
Application of research method of history in various fields:
1. Philosophy:
- Philosophy studies beliefs, faith, ideas, and ideologies.
- Understanding the origins of diverse ideologies, the intellectual traditions that gave rise to such ideologies, and their historical growth is aided by knowledge of history of philosophy.
- Language is a necessary medium for the expression of philosophy.
- Knowing the history of language is helpful in understanding philosophical expression.
2. Science:
- Science is a branch of study or knowledge involving the observation, investigation, and discovery of general laws or truths that can be tested systematically.
- It is said that necessity is the mother of inventions and all science-related discoveries commonly result from human strategies to satisfy needs and curiosity.
- These initiatives are founded on existing scientific information.
- The history of science helps in understanding the chronological order of scientific discoveries, inventions, and the cause-effect chain that led to those discoveries and inventions.
3. Technology:
- Understanding developments and their causes in the fields of agricultural production, commodity production, architecture, engineering, etc. is made easier by studying the history of technology.
- Technology advancement and scientific discoveries/inventions are mutually dependent.
- At every stage of human evolution, from the creation of stone tools to agricultural production, knowledge of science and technology was vital.
- Later, the mechanization of production was encouraged by scientific advances.
4. Industry and Commerce:
- The industry is engaged in the production of goods and services whereas commerce looks after the distribution of goods and services.

5. Management Studies:
- For effective management, it is important to better understand the psychological makeup of those who operate at various tiers along the manufacturing and marketing chain.
- Understanding the social and economic structures that support the industrial and commercial processes is crucial for achieving this goal. Understanding the past in this way facilitates management at many levels.
6. Arts:
- It is important to understand the development of various art forms like Paintings, Sculpture, Literature, Architecture, Cinema, Music, and Theatre.
- Understanding the evolution of various art forms through their modes of expression and the roots they have in intellectual, emotional, and cultural traditions is crucial.
- Cultural history can be used to comprehend the fundamentals of artistic expression, the emotional makeup of the artist, and the evolution of the particular art form.
7. Humanities:
- History, archaeology, sociology, anthropology, political science, economics, and other fields are included in the humanities.
- A vital component of their education is knowing the background of the creation and evolution of these fields.
- According to theory, philosophy is the parent discipline of all others.
- Prehistoric peoples made speculative attempts to explain the connection between the universe and human existence. It gave rise to a number of mythical tales concerning the creation of this world, the nature of reality, human existence, gods and goddesses, rites, and philosophical justifications for them.
