  • Ability Test: Ability test may be divided into:
  1. Aptitude Test: An aptitude test is a test to measure the suitability of the candidates for the post.
  2. Achievement Test: This test measures a candidate’s capacity to achieve in a particular field.
  3. Intelligence Test: An intelligence test is designed to measure a variety of mental abilities, the individual capacity of a candidate.
  4. Judgment Test: This test is conducted to test the presence of mind and reasoning capacity of the candidates.
  • Personality Test: It refers to the test conducted to find out the non-intellectual traits of a candidate. It can be further divided into:
  1. Interest Test: The interest test measures a candidate’s extent of interest in a particular area.
  2. Projective Test: This test measures the candidate’s values, the personality of the candidate.
  3. Attitude Test: measures candidate’s tendencies towards the people, situation, action, and related things.
