3x + 2y = 6
⇒ 2y = 6 - 3x
∴ y = `(6 - 3x)/(2)`
When x = 0;
y = `(6 - 3 xx 0)/(2)`
= `(6 - 0)/(2)`
= 3
When x = 2;
y = `(6 - 3 xx 2)/(2)`
= `(6 - 6)/(2)`
= 0
When x = 4;
y = `(6 - 3 xx 4)/(2)`
= `(6 - 12)/(2)`
= -3
X | 0 | 2 | 4 |
Y | 3 | 0 | - 3 |
Plotting these points we get the required graph as shown below :
