Draw the graph for the equation, given below :
3x + 2y = 6

Solution

3x + 2y = 6
⇒ 2y = 6 - 3x
∴ y = 6-3x2

When x = 0;  
y = 6-3×02
= 6-02
= 3

When x = 2; 
y = 6-3×22
= 6-62
= 0

When x = 4; 
y = 6-3×42
= 6-122
= -3

X 0 2 4
Y 3 0 - 3

Plotting these points we get the required graph as shown below :
