- Casual Callers: These are the persons who either gather at the factory gate to serve as casual workers or reach the employer by letter, telephone, or in person, with a request for an appointment against a real or presumed vacancy.
- Advertising the Vacancies: Recruitment of personnel by advertising in daily newspapers or professional journals is a widely used method. Newspapers reach a large number of readers in different parts of the country.
- Employment Exchange: Public employment exchanges serve as an important source of recruitment of personnel. These employment exchanges provide very useful service both to employers and prospective employess.
