प्रश्न
Read other poems by Leigh Hunt, especially 'Abou Ben Adhem'.
Compare the messages in that poem with those in 'The Plate of Gold'. What do you observe?
उत्तर
Two of the greatest poems that highlight the value of love and service to humanity are Abu Ben Adhem and Plate of Gold. The message of both poems is the same.
Abu is thrilled to see his name at the top of the book, which lists the names of people God loves, after the angel in Abu Ben Adhem confirms that his name is in it.
The peasant who truly loves his siblings will also receive the gift of paradise in the poem "Plate of Gold."
Heaven and God reward the real lovers of humanity in both verses.
