उत्तर

Carbon is known to be more electronegative than Magnesium and hence Mg acquires partial positive charge while C acquires partial negative charge because the bonded pair of electrons is attracted towards it.

\[\ce{CH3 – CH2 – CH2 – \overset{δ-}{CH2} – \overset{δ+}{Mg} – X}\]
