प्रश्न

The curved surface area of a cylinder of height 14 cm is 88 cm2. Find the diameter of the base of the cylinder.

योग

उत्तर

Height (h) = 14 cm
Curved surface area (2πrh) = 88 cm2
Then, 2πrh = 88 cm2

⇒ `2 xx 22/7 xx r xx 14 = 88`cm2

⇒ 88r = 88

⇒ r = `88/88 = 1` cm

Then diameter = `1 xx 2 = 2` cm
