सत्य या असत्य

उत्तर

This statement is False.

Explanation:

Let x be the number.

So, three times of x = 3x

Difference between 3x and x = 3x – x = 2x

∴ Difference between 3x and x = 3x – x = 2x

∴ Percentage increase in `x = (2x)/x xx 100 = 200%`

If one-third of `x = 1/3 x`

∴ Difference between `x` and `x/3 = x - x/3 = (2x)/3`

∴ Percentage decrease = `((2x)/3)/x xx 100`

= `2/3 xx 100`

= 66.66%
