Hormone is an organic substance that is sëcreted by one tissue into the bloodstream and induces a physiological response in other tissues. It is an intercellular signaling molecule. Virtually every process in a complex organism is regulated by one or more hormones. For example, insulin, epinephrine, estrogen, androgen, etc.
