Notes

Square numbers:

A number which produces a specified number when multiplied by itself are known as square numbers.
25 can be expressed as 5 × 5 = 52, 64 can be expressed as 8 × 8 = 82, all such numbers can be expressed as the product of the number with itself.

In general, if a natural number m can be expressed as n2, where n is also a natural number, then m is a square number.

We know that 72 = 49 and 82 = 64. If 62 is a square number, it must be the square of a natural number between 7 and 8. But there is no natural number between 7 and 8. Therefore, 62 is not a square number.
