  2. The primary goal of theoretical branches is to develop concepts and construct rules that explain human conduct, whereas the primary goal of applied branches is to put knowledge into practice by assisting individuals in adapting to their real-life settings. 
  3. The theoretical branches are Developmental Psychology, Child Psychology, Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology, while the applied branches are Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Criminal Psychology, Sports Psychology, and Industrial Psychology.
  4. For your understanding, applied psychology's activities range from conducting field studies to finding practical solutions to problems to directly supporting affected persons or organizations.
