Basis of Difference District Forum National Commission
Members It comprises of a president and two or more members, one of whom should be a woman It comprises of a president and four or more members, one of whom should be a woman
Compensation claim It is upto Rs 20 lakh but less than Rs 1 crore.     It is more than Rs 1 crore
Scope for reappeal In case the consumer is not satisfied with the judgement he/she can file an appeal before the State Commission within 30 days of passing the judgement.   In case the aggrieved party is not satisfied with the order, an appeal can be filed before the Supreme Court.
President The president of District Forum should be a judge at the district level or equivalent.   He should be or should have been a judge at the Supreme Court.
